Journal Entry Two- Getting Rejected?? (why am I sharing this LOL 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Another situation in which I really saw a disconnect between my cultural interactions and someone else’s was at a bar in Girona this weekend. There were these taller, quite attractive boys, who once I asked told me they were from Girona. And as girls do (or maybe that’s just me) I was asking them about themselves and seeing if any of them were single. While this is going on and I’m speaking very very poor Spanish, as they speak broken English, they started laughing at me. In this case specifically, I know that it’s not 100% normal for girls to be that bold, but this was a foreign concept to them. And I’m not sure if they’re rude or if this was just a cultural thing but they completely laughed in my face.

Side note: Girona was SICKKKK, so fun.
